The project aims to enhance the capacity of the three largest universities in Vietnam for more sustainable and autonomous development in the fields of Governance, Teaching-Learning, Research, and Industry Linkages, thereby responding to the demand for competent human resources to serve the industrialization and modernization as well as international integration of Vietnam.

The PHER project’s technical support will be focused on four pillars as follow:

1. Governance Excellence,
2. Teaching and Learning Excellence,
3. Research Excellence,
4. University and Industry Linkages.

For the Governance Excellence pillar, the project aims to strengthen the governance at the universities, strongly bolstering their internal quality assurance system and transforming their finance to enhance institutional autonomy.

For the pillar of Teaching and Learning Excellence, the project focuses on improving the capacity for implementing innovative teaching and learning methods.

For the pillar of Research Excellent, the project aims to improve the research and innovation capacity of lecturers, researchers, graduates, and postgraduates as well as other staff interested in research.

For the pillar of University and Industry Linkages, establishing and maintaining the partnership between universities and industry are activities that are supported within the project framework.
