Inaugurate the 30 billion VND Oral-Maxillofacial Pre-clinical Practice Room
On February 14th, at the VNUHCM Urban Area, the School of Medicine, VNUHCM celebrated the Inauguration Ceremony of the Oral-Maxillofacial Pre-clinical Practice Room.
The practice room includes advanced digital technology: 17 high-end dental machine chairs, 17 practice models with a full system of instrument trays and an assistant center; LED light Plus surgical light programmed with touchless sensor; 17 micromotor grinding machines; compressed air systems; a central suction system for dental equipment; and a central control system to transmit practice model data with a total investment of 30 billion VND. This is a project funded by VNUHCM from the state budget from 2021.
Prof. Dr. DDS. Hoang Tu Hung, Deputy Head of the Department of Odonto-Stomatology, said: “Building a pre-clinical practice room is an opportunity for students of the Faculty of Medicine to learn and access modern machines and equipment. This is the first step in building facilities for the formation of 3 upcoming Medicine – Pharmacy – Dentistry buildings, creating the best learning environment for students of the Odonto-Stomatology major in particular and students of the Faculty of Medicine, VNUHCM in general.”
